Local Agentsβ

The Local Agents is currently available as a beta release and may be subject to specification changes in the future.

Using the Local Agents, StageCrew can capture screenshots from internal environments, corporate networks and cloud environments with source IP restrictions without requiring firewall rule permissions for external networks. This allows secure use even in environments with strict security requirements.

The Local Agents captures screenshots and uploads them to the StageCrew cloud via port 443. See the diagram below for a comparison of how screenshots are captured with and without the Local Agents.

Local Agents Installation Guide

1. Obtain the installation file.

   If you wish to use the Local Agents, please contact your local support representative.

2. Run the installation file.

   Double-click the installation file to run it.

3. Follow the installation wizard.

   Enter the required information as instructed by the wizard to complete the installation.

Double-click the installation file to run it.

Logging into Your Account

Log in using your registered StageCrew account.

Connecting to StageCrew's Backend Services

The connection status of each backend service will be displayed, as shown in the diagram below.
If "Success" is displayed, the connection has been successfully established.

StageCrew Settings

The settings screen will be displayed, where you can modify settings as needed.

Explanation of StageCrew Settings

Items	Descriptions
Headless mode	Whether to execute browser automation in headless mode using the Local Agent.
Max Browser Concurrency	The number of browsers that can run browser automation simultaneously.
Max Tab Concurrency	The number of tabs that can run browser automation simultaneously.
Personal browser	Whether to use your personal Chrome browser (On/Off).
Personal app data	Whether to use specified credential information for browser automation.
Share use	Whether to allow other StageCrew users to use the credential information specified in "Personal app data" when executing commands on the Local Agent.

Post-Installation Check

• Log into the StageCrew dashboard, click "Local Agents" from the main menu, and ensure that the Local Agents is displayed with an "Online" status.

Utilizing the Local Agents for Assets

• In the asset editing screen, toggle the 'Local Agents' option to 'ON' for the target asset, then capture the screenshot again.. If the screenshot is successfully captured, click the "Save" button in the bottom right corner to apply the changes.

• You can specify a local agent to capture screenshots. For the target asset, enable the toggle switches for both the local agent and the local agent affinity policy. Then, select the desired local agent from the dropdown menu under "Select Local Agent."
